DISQVER® at the annual meeting of the DGHO in Vienna: Application of NGS-based diagnostics in Haematooncology and Medical Oncology

Infections and bloodstream infections are a major cause of complications in the therapy of oncological and hematological patients. But how can the pathogens that lead to these infections be detected quickly and reliably?

From 7 to 9 October, the Noscendo team will be present at the industrial exhibition of the DGHO annual conference at the Austria Center, Vienna (booth X2-43). Here, we will talk to the expert audience about this exciting question and present DISQVER®, a platform for digital pathogen diagnostics. We are looking forward to discussing the results of DISQVER® in haematooncology so far and its further use in patients with the clinical experts. Besides, we will inform you about the possibility of refinancing DISQVER® at our booth!

DISQVER simultaneously identifies more than 16,000 microbes in just one blood sample, including 1,500 described pathogenic bacteria, DNA viruses, fungi and parasites*. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) is used to sequence the cell-free DNA in the patient’s blood. DISQVER® matches this information with Noscendo’s clinical genome database using bioinformatics algorithms. Within 24 hours of receipt of the sample in the laboratory, the analysis is available and provides precise results on all relevant pathogens found in the blood.

*Scientific studies on DISQVER® can be found under Publications.
